I went to balboa and got my port-a-cath removed today!!! It was very easy! No iv or icky stuff to drink, just a quick poke of the needle to numb me up. I was awake the whole time and the doctor was very chatty. He played goo goo dolls in the background and was often singing along to it :) He said he just got a new karaoke machine and all his friends said he's obsessed with it, he's also the boyfriend of my secondary doctor!! The whole thing was just kinda wierd. It didn't hurt at all but I could feel the tugging and pulling and a funny squishing sound. The whole thing only took 50 min. From the time I got out of the car at 10:50 and got back in the car at 11:40!! :)
